...life of a student...

So - I'm halfway through the first semester of my social service worker program, and I have to tell you, the worries I had about returning to school have not materialized. My classmates are fun and friendly, the atmosphere is open and welcoming and my courses are entertaining and challenging at the same time... The only struggle is to find enough time to do it all... Study, do things around the house, be with my boys and stamp!

I made a promise a long time ago about blogging - so let's try that again!

Here I am! We moved from California back to Ontario after many years away. My middle son and I attend college together! My youngest is in middle school and my husband has a new start on his career!


I'm trying to post a card that I made a while ago...I don't know what it is called so I named it the side step box card. It folds flat for mailing. You can see some of the sweet Stampin Up! Stamps, ink and paper that I used. The Petite Petals stamp set and punch just finish this card off with a little rhinestone in the centre of each flower. If anyone would like the directions to recreate this card, send me a note and I will gladly send you the dimensions and instructions. Let's hope it works!
This is a giant learning curve for me...so hold on!

All grown up and moving away...

My daughter left today for university in British Columbia, Canada... Kind of bittersweet. We will miss her, but at the same time, I know she is ready for that next step, of which we should be proud --and we ARE!
I wish her much love and success at whatever she chooses to do...I am behind her 100%.

Now that I have managed to find my way back to my blog, I am happy to share that my youngest is now in fourth grade, my middle son is a high school sophomore, and the eldest has left home to pursue her secondary education.

So that should leave mom with lots of time to craft, right? I think that is still a dream... I have continued as a SU! Demonstrator, I have a great upline and sidelines and friends all around the stamping  and crafting community. Here's hoping I become more computer literate very soon, so I can post pictures of many things craft-related...

Getting Started!!!

Okay - I've finally been bitten by the blog bug! I have wanted to do this for a very long time - and well, today's the day!!
I would love to share with you about myself! I am a SAHM of three amazing kids - who give me lots of grief, by the way - so don't think I mistake them for perfect!!! My husband works as Director of Operations for a beautiful resort - but that also means we never see him!

My daughter is in high school, my middle son is in middle school and my youngest son is in kindergarten. We are living in California and I have just returned to SU as a demonstrator after a year off.

So when I get better organized, look for some practical tips on stamping and cards and if I can get it together, links to Stampin Up!

So I will check in with everyone atleast once a week - that is my goal!
I love other crafts as well - knitting, scrapbooking etc... so don't be surprised if they make an appreance here as well!!
